BPSC Systemic Challenges: Addressing Administrative and Evaluation Concerns for Balochistan’s Aspirants

The recent announcements from the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) have raised significant concerns among competitive exam aspirants across the province. Administrative delays and unexpected evaluation outcomes have highlighted the need for greater clarity and communication from the province’s primary recruitment body.
A recent examination conducted on July 31 for posts in technical colleges
underscores these concerns. Many dedicated candidates, who estimated scoring nearly 60 out of 70 marks based on initial answer keys, were surprised by the official outcome stating that no candidates met the qualification criteria. Given that several of these applicants have previously cleared technical exams—such as the BPSC Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Irrigation exam—this unexpected outcome suggests potential technical errors, answer key discrepancies, or administrative oversights that warrant a thorough review.
Additionally, the temporary suspension of BPSC Tehsildar interviews due to administrative adjustments has added to the uncertainty faced by candidates. Candidates invest years of effort preparing for these opportunities, and unexpected disruptions or lack of detailed feedback can lead to widespread discouragement.
Addressing these ongoing concerns through constructive dialogue and administrative review could help restore candidate confidence:
Review of Test Results: Conducting a careful, internal audit of the technical college examination papers and answer keys to identify and rectify potential technical issues.
Open Communication: Providing official clarifications and guidance to help candidates understand evaluation processes and outcomes.
Timely Process Resumption: Resolving administrative issues promptly to resume pending procedures, including the Tehsildar interviews.
Balochistan’s youth remain committed to serving the public sector, and ensuring transparent, supportive, and efficient administrative processes will help protect candidate trust and institutional reliability
